Java is turning 30 next year and in those 3 decades it has managed to change the lives of countless of people.

When asked about the most crucial aspect of our industry, many conference speakers highlight one word: community.

Despite this, the community side of Java remains relatively unknown to many developers.

This BoF session will be an informal sharing session on how different Java Communities have impacted the lives of it's participants.

We'll share what the communities do and in which ways it's contributed to people’s careers and personal lives.

We invite everyone to come share how they have been #MovedByJava, whether it's finding that dream project, a new employer or even a life-long partner.

Even if you have nothing to share, join us to hear about the incredible opportunities and connections that await when you get involved.
